Devlog Update
Hey everyone! Here’s what’s new in the latest build:
- Improved Enemy Visibility: Enemies now have an overlay material, making them much easier to spot during gameplay.
- Performance Tweaks: I’ve switched the game’s lighting to use static lighting instead of Lumen global illumination (ray tracing). I also moved from Shader Model 6 to Shader Model 5. This means Nanite (the fancy variable triangle geometry tech) is no longer used, but you should see better performance on a wider range of hardware.
- Combat Improvements: Fixed an issue where switching from aiming the arrow to the sword didn’t properly reset the field of view and camera position. Now, transitions between weapons feel smoother and more consistent.
- Melee Attack Upgrade: The melee attack now uses a multi-attack trace, so you can hit multiple enemies with a single swing!
